I work in mixed media, including pure pigments, pastels, acrylics, pencil, and airbrush.

As artwork is my full-time job, I am usually able to complete commissions in a timely manner. For many colors my turn-around time is under 8 weeks!

I am currently accepting commissions for finishwork.

My basic price includes prepping and return shipping. It could be broken down as follows (for traditional scale):

$45 prepping

$185 painting

$20 return shipping

This does mean that if prepping is not required you can save up to $45. However, I will not paint on an improperly or incompletely prepped model. Poor prepping can destroy detail and can cause paintwork problems later on. Therefore, if a model requires further prepping the original prepping fee or some portion thereof (depending on the work required) will be charged. Some models--particularly older plastics and home-cast resins--require additional prepping and an additional fee will be charged for these. As well, poorly prepped models which require stripping or rebuilding will incur an additional charge.

Complex colors will be charged an additional fee. "Complex" includes appaloosa or pinto patterns (above knee/hock and beyond the face), dappled or fleabitten greys, and roans. This additional fee varies depending on the pattern, but generally starts at $50 for a small Appaloosa blanket to $300+ for a heavily dappled grey. I am happy to paint portrait models, and there is no additional charge at this time for this service. I do ask that for maximum accuracy you include hard copies of photos of the horse with your unpainted model--this ensures that color matching is as accurate as possible! If you can't send hard copies, I will do my best with whatever you can send me. The more photos you send, the better!
