Motor and Terora

Motor and Terora are (nearly) available in both traditional and venti scales!

Motor and Terora are a pair of battling Sand Wash Basin mustangs. They are cast from 100% original digital sculptures by me, Maggie Jenner-Bennett, inspired by a photo by Bob Karcz of the real Motor and Terora. They are being produced in-house at Maggie Bennett Sculpture in polyurethane artist's resin with stainless steel reinforcement in their legs. Both traditional and venti scale versions come with paired hardwood bases. The venti version is mirrored from the traditional version to make them easy to tell apart in photos.

I have been working on these sculptures for many hundreds of hours. They are the most detailed pieces I have ever produced and I am very proud of them, from their rough coats and scars to their carefully sculpted teeth. I did my best to portray these two real horses on that spring day in 2020 when the inspirational photo was taken, including studying dozens of photos of each real horse throughout their lives as wild mustangs. My study of them and work on these sculptures led me to adopt my own BLM mustang!

You are welcome to modify your Motor and Terora in any way you want, but you may not cast the result.

Motor and Terora are priced at $1,000 for the pair plus shipping for the pair in traditional (1:9) scale and $500 for the pair in venti (1:20) scale. They are being sold as a pair only. We are happy to accept time payments on both scales.

We limited initial orders to approximately 100 sets in each scale. We do plan to sell more sets as they are complete and ready to ship!
